Tissue Paper Tassel Garland

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

Happy Friday, friends of Musings! I am so happy to see the work week come to an end, and get a little closer to what I am sure will be a wonderful Passover weekend with the family. I am already planning on schlepping a couple of boxes of project materials up with me so that I can get a jump on some fun new projects to share.

One party dΓ©cor item that has been rising in popularity is the tassel garland. Rosie has asked me to make one for her wedding, but since I had never tried one before, I decided to get a jump and practice this week. My mistake, as it often is, was starting this at 10 at night, so the next morning wasn’t exactly pleasant.

There are a billion different picture tutorials that give step-by-step instructions on how to make your own garland, but the most helpful one I have found is via Linen Lace and Love.

For now, I strung mine across the mirror in my bedroom, and I am frankly shocked that the kittens have not already destroyed it. I can’t wait to ship a big stack of tissue paper out to Napa and sit on the porch of V Madrone cutting tissue paper with the family!
