Hello, wonderful readers! I hate that I have been so absent from Musings as of late. It has been a hectic couple of weeks, with some exciting work happening at NanoSteel, the snow, planning our upcoming trip to Vienna, and the BF being home from Texas for a few days. (Un)surprisingly, I get very little sympathy when I exclaim that I have anxiety from “being so far behind on my crafting.” I have a couple of projects that I have been holding back from sharing, and some new recipes on the docket, so hopefully next week I will have lots more to share with you.
For those of you that remember this DIY mason jar makeover, today’s project will seem familiar. Like Winnie the Pooh, a fan of “useful pots for putting things in,” I cannot help but accumulate little jars and boxes for all of my supplies, and thank goodness, because it looks like a Michael’s bomb went off in my kitchen as of late.
Taking old holiday boxes I found at Home Goods, and moving full steam ahead with my recent infatuation with the color pink, I painted put two coats of spray paint on both the lids and bases of the little boxes. Using my favorite acrylic gold leaf paint, I covered two more of my Toob world monument statues and hot glue gunned them to the top. Have my mentioned lately how life changing my glue gun has been?
The perfect place to store my Martha Stewart glitter from this project!
