DIY- Candy Jar Stand

Techincally, Hanukkah and Christmas are over. However, because the holidayS includes New Years, I am rationalizing that I can still write “holiday” related posts.

This little accent is very easy to complete, starting with two old candlesticks- or in my case, Home Goods candlesticks- and two generous coats of your favorite Rust Oleum paint color. Then, using your glue gun, secure the bottom of the mason jar to the candlestick, and fill with the object of your choice! Obviously, my initial instinct is to overflow it with candy, be it peppermints for the holidays, or any other candy.

On a semi-unrelated note, I have been getting a lot of questions about what iPhone apps I use to edit my photos for posting with text. I use the editing app A Beautiful Mess, spun off from one of my favorite blogs of the same title. If you are looking for hostess recipes, interior design crafts, and other handmade goodness, this is the place for you.
