When I was in Vienna I guzzled mulled wine like it was my job. Christmas markets were around every corner, and how else would you stay warm and wash down your roasted chestnut and pretzels? Since I have been home I had never made it on my own, but with the storm that came this weekend, I thought it would be the best way to stay cozy.
1 (750-ml) bottle red wine, such as Cabernet Sauvignon
Generous squeeze of honey
2 cinnamon sticks
1 orange, zested and juiced
6 whole cloves
