I come from a big family of readers. We throw elbows in library book sale basements. We drive two hours to the Book Barn in Connecticut to rummage the shelves. We scour Amazon until the day that our desired book comes out in paperback so the hardcover will be discounted. My sister counts her signed first edition Jonathan Frazen among her most prized possessions. In fact, she has the most enviable bookshelves of any 20-something that I have ever met. And although I just hit my Goodreads goal of 25 books read this year, my list is dwarfed by that of my mother and sister.

If you are still looking for a gift for your bookworm this year, consider a personalized book stamp. Mine comes from AssPocket Productions on Etsy. Do you share books among your friends and family? This is the perfect way to ensure that they will not forget who the proper owner is- which is probably why I have so many of my family’s books- they aren’t stamped!

Etsy is a wonderful place to get something that is much more personal than something that you would get at the mall. This gift could be adjusted for the chef in your life with a recipe card stamp, or a return address stamp for anyone on the lift.
