I have vowed to keep my holiday themed posts regulated to December, so consider this to be a Thanksgiving cranberry craft rather than a Christmas cranberry craft! I recently ordered a large shipment of mason jars, and it feels like there is a whole world of opportunity open to me as a crafter.
For this project, you will need: mason jars, white acrylic paint, a tool for dotting (a couple of Q-tips of the end of a paint brush will do), a bag of cranberries, and two candles.
Dipping the end of your dotter into white paint, start at the top of the jar, making the marks closer together at the rim and making them more gradual as you go down the side of the jar.
Pour half a bag of cranberries into each jar, and carefully place the candles on top. I would recommend lighting the candle with something other than a handheld lighter, seeing as I managed to burn the heck out of my fingers trying to get to the candle. I am excited to use these on my kitchen table throughout the holiday season.
Have you already started making holiday crafts? Are they mostly for your own home, or are you also making gifts this year? Let me know in the comments, I am always on the hunt for new projects!
