DIY Instagram Frame

instagram frame

I have been accused once or twice of over-exercising my Instagram muscle. It is not my fault that life looks more beautiful through the Nashville filter than it does through my slightly deteriorating vision.

I have spent a lot of time thinking of ways to repurpose my Instagram pictures- coasters, phone cases, etc, all on the docket. However, the first item was to find a way to simply display them. Once I acquired a glue gun, it seemed like there were no craft barriers standing in my way.The PostalPix app is the easiest (and cheapest!) way to print your Instagram images out in a 4×4 print directly from your phone.

To complete this project, I bought a package of mini clothes pins, and dug through my basket of yarn from last winter’s crochet binge for my favorite mustard color. After again ordering Rust-Oleum spray paint, this time in Almond, from Amazon, I gave a quick coat to the frame and was ready to go. The rest was very easy- flipping the frame over, I hot glued three strands of yarn horizontally across the frame. Once they were dry, I clipped the pictures on with the pins, and voila!

What I like most about this is how easily it can be altered by swapping in and out images as I expand my gallery. I am sure that this will not be the last PostalPix project that you see here.
